The October 7th Quilt Project

The October 7 Project is my way of honoring the people who were murdered in the Hamas attacks one portrait at a time. I’m creating a large hand-stitched quilt made up of individual textile portraits, each one carefully painted and embroidered to reflect the person behind the name. It’s a slow, personal process, and each stitch is about keeping their memory alive and visible.

I don’t know exactly how long the project will take, with over 1,200 victims, it’s a long journey. What matters is that each portrait is created with care and respect. My dream is that, when it’s finished, the quilt will find a home in Israel where people can come to see it and remember those who were lost. To make that possible, I need your support. Each portrait takes about three hours to create, and your help allows me to spend less time waitressing or working in care work and more time painting, stitching, and researching.

Here are some ways you can contribute:

1) By joining my Patreon, you can support me with a monthly contribution of your choice, anywhere from 3 to 100 dollars. For 7 dollars a month, you’ll receive weekly presentations of the people portrayed in the project. Higher tiers come with extra perks, such as art prints from my broader body of work and behind-the-scenes content.

PLEASE, AVOID THE iOS PATREON APP TO SUPPORT CREATORS. If you pledge through the iOS app, you’ll be charged more, I’ll receive less, and payments are delayed by up to 75 days.
